NEEDLEPUNCH

Let's talk about hair. European tile manufacturer Heuga, now an Interface brand, created the world's first commercially viable carpet tile with this specification in 1955. That was more than 45 years ago and a version of this product is still selling today.

The hair tile product is an iconic product for Interface. It's the product that says, "These people don't think the same way everyone else does." The legacy began with Felt-S, which has a totally natural story with animal hair as its primary raw material. It was used because it was cost effective and a waste product from the meat industry. Felt-S evolved into Flor-S and then simply, Flor, which is the contemporary product that is still being specified globally.

The needlepunch construction used to manufacture the hair tile products provides excellent long-term appearance retention in the most intense of traffic areas, making this product ideal for corridors in offices, shops, schools and exhibition halls.
