INTERFACE ADDED TO EPA'S NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE TRACK PROGRAM

In Accepting Interface, EPA Recognizes Company Facility's Environmental Performance

LaGrange, GA - Interface Flooring Systems, the world's leading manufacturer of modular flooring products, is proud to announce that its Troup County, Georgia, facilities have been accepted into the Environmental Protection Agency's National Environmental Performance Track Program. With its acceptance, the EPA recognizes them as one of the country's top-standing facilities in the area of environmental performance with a record of regulatory compliance, an operational environmental management system, a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, and outreach to the local community and the public. The manufacturing plants include the Ray C. Anderson (RCA) plant in West Point and the Kyle plants in LaGrange. The RCA plant manufactures tufted carpet products in preparation for the Kyle plant to back, cut, inspect and package products for shipment. To measure its continuing environmental progress, the EPA will be auditing it annually.

"We are more than pleased to participate in this important program," says Claude Ouimet, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Interface Flooring Systems. "Interface wants not only to be responsive, but also-and especially-to be proactive in becoming a truly sustainable company. Joining the EPA's National Environmental Performance Track Program is another positive step in this effort."

According to the EPA: "The National Environmental Performance Track program is designed to recognize and encourage top environmental performers -- those who go beyond compliance with regulatory requirements to attain levels of environmental performance and management that benefit people, communities, and the environment."

Currently, the program has approximately 300 members that have been selected by the EPA through a rigorous application process.
